Each of us has experienced situations in life when we had absolutely no strength for anything. Of course, you stubbornly get up in the morning and go about your business. And by evening they can be put in order, although not with much ease. But such a life does not bring pleasure at all. So the day goes by, the second, the third - and the person begins to sound the alarm: “I have absolutely no vital energy... What should I do?” Some people attribute this condition to simple fatigue, stress, or simply laziness. Others turn to psychologists or doctors in hopes of finding a more reliable explanation. Let's try to figure out what's happening together.

Causes

General weakness is so common that it can easily rival headaches in popularity. Its essence is simple: we do not have enough strength to perform everyday duties. From a physiological point of view, everything is fine. The body receives oxygen and nutrients that must be burned in the cells, filling them with energy. But in reality this does not always happen.

And when we get tired, we start to get nervous. A person is tormented by the question of why there is no vital energy and what to do with this condition. And after some time, apathy sets in. I don’t want anything, I don’t only have no strength, but also no desire. Periodically, such apathy attacks that my legs simply give way. My head is spinning and I have no appetite. It is very difficult to explain what is happening to you. When asked by family and friends, they usually answer: “I feel uneasy.” There can be many reasons for energy deficiency; it’s difficult to even list them all. Today we will try to consider the most common of them.

Types of grievances

  • Simple ones - when a person, for example, did not keep some promise. You can get rid of such resentment with a simple reminder to fulfill your promise. Life energy leaves even under such seemingly insignificant circumstances.
  • Complex ones – accumulated grievances, claims against a person, and so on. A serious heart-to-heart conversation is enough, and you will not only get rid of the resentment, but also improve your relationship with the person.
  • Grievances from the past are the most difficult type of grievances. They can come from childhood, most often associated with some kind of mental trauma or serious breakups.

Chronic lack of sleep

This is the first reason that can be assumed if a person says that he has no vital energy. What to do? You need to reconsider your work and rest schedule. It's good if you get a lot done in a day. But you shouldn’t do this at the expense of your health. In any case, the body will demand its own, and this will result in a long period of decreased performance. It is better to constantly work in the same rhythm than to expose yourself to excessive stress and pay with the loss of vital energy.

The solution to the problem is not as simple as it might seem at first glance. If a person sleeps less than 7 hours a day, substances that cause fatigue gradually accumulate in the blood. Energy reserves are not replenished, and you physically lack strength. If there is no vital energy, what to do? It seems logical to go to bed. But one night of good sleep is not enough to compensate for a week or month of sleep deprivation. It is required to compensate it in its entirety, according to the number of hours. If you slept 5 hours every night for a week, then your debt to your body accumulates in the amount of two hours every day. 14 hours accumulate in a week. On the weekend you will have to sleep 13 hours to fully recover.

Another important point: daytime sleep becomes a full replacement for nighttime sleep only if you sleep with the windows closed. Only in the dark does the brain produce melatonin, which is responsible for restoring the body’s energy reserves.

Stress, negative emotions

A lot of energy drains when life is filled with stress. It not only destroys a stable emotional state, but also takes away strength. To experience less stress, you need to learn to relate to various life situations more simply. Try to calm yourself down, look for positive moments.

The game “But” is very helpful for this. For example, I can’t find a job, but I have a lot of time for myself and my family. My car broke down, but now I will walk more, and this is good for my health. Look for the positive in negative situations.

Production rush jobs

Implementing urgent projects at work is exhausting both psychologically and physically. This burns all reserves and disrupts the hormonal balance, which is responsible for energy production at the cellular level. Therefore, it turns out that there is no strength for anything after work, and during the day it is very difficult to force yourself to do something.

What to do? You need to rest for a long time. To return the balance back to normal, it’s not enough just to get enough sleep. Or this needs to be done over a certain period of time. To speed up this process, it is recommended to undergo a course of spa treatments, massage and acupuncture. Be sure to take vitamin supplements, they allow the body to recover faster.

Emotional stress

Difficult situations in life cannot be avoided. If you get a divorce, worry about a sick relative, or move, your body is under serious stress. Emotional overstrain is unpleasant because it leads to a period of prolonged weakness, apathy and despondency. And this, in turn, can lead to the development of psychosomatic diseases. And we never know in advance which organ will be the weakest. The joints will fail, an ulcer will form in the stomach - it doesn’t matter, but the problem will not go unnoticed. Therefore, conflicts must be resolved immediately and irrevocably. Even if this leads to new problems, they will cause a different reaction and will not hit the patient.

Tired of monotonous life

The daily routine will drive anyone to despair. It’s very difficult to talk about how to restore vital energy when in the morning you have to get back to work that is boring to death. With its monotony, it plunges us into a depressed state. The person is not so much weakened as he is not interested, not immersed in the process. He is rather lethargic and half asleep.

In this case, most often the person says that he needs to get some sleep. In fact, he needs the opposite - an influx of forces from the outside. That is, he can draw a charge of strength from movement and new impressions. Therefore, weekends should be spent outdoors, for example, cycling. It is best to leave the city and spend a few days in a guest house.

The fight for seal rights

Finally, a couple of important secrets.

The first secret of a competent energy accountant: respect the rights of the seals - that is, allow yourself to periodically DO NOTHING. Without shame and guilt.

Look at the seals: do they have a lot of shame? I regularly sell indulgences to my clients: I tell them that they can do nothing on their day off, not meet anyone, not consume culture, but just be stupid. This is very important for balance, besides, the seal will still take its own if it needs to.

By respecting seal rights, you can control your energy balance yourself. If not, then the balance will control the body through diseases. Some people only rest when they are sick, because they don’t know any other way. But in this case you are dealing with sick seals, and it’s a pity for them.

The second - and very simple - secret: changing activities can be a source of energy. Some people find it difficult to switch: they prefer to immerse themselves in one thing and get stuck in it, and then do nothing at all because they are too tired. All competent fitness trainers will tell you that several short workouts a week are better than three times of rigorous training in the spirit of no pain - no gain. A feat is always an overexpenditure of energy. Sometimes it’s impossible without it, but outside of special circumstances it’s just pampering. Switching saves energy and gives you more: the brain loves variety.

The third - dramatically important - secret: you need to regularly replenish your energy reserves. This is as important as brushing your teeth or eating three times a day.

Loneliness, nature, sports, sex, communication, food - this may be what works specifically for you. How do you know what works for you? Just try!

Look for ways to relax that you haven't tried. One of my clients practices a new, sometimes quite extreme experience of relaxation on her birthday. Every year she does something out of the ordinary (this year she jumped with a parachute) - it helps her learn new ways to renew her energy resource and overcome the usual birthday blues.

There is such a harmful belief that we have an infinite amount of energy and that each of us can become Mr. Energizer, who has the strength “to do anything,” like the Instagram gods - the main thing is to push yourself a little more. Social networks feed this illusion from morning to evening, and a multi-million dollar industry has developed around endless self-improvement. The harmfulness of this idea is obvious: periodically, every Mr. Energizer finds himself at the bottom of an energy hole, completely empty, sick or hating people. Of course, this is not shown on social networks.

Pregnancy

While carrying a baby, the expectant mother often experiences discomfort and weakness. As a rule, dizziness and nausea appear in the morning. Moreover, usually a woman complains that she really wants to sleep. Hormones are largely to blame for this. How to increase vitality and energy for a woman?

First of all, you need to make sure whether you are really expecting a child. To do this, just buy a regular test at the pharmacy. Do not forget that neither using a condom, nor taking hormonal contraceptives, nor being over 40 - none of this guarantees that you will not get pregnant. And if you happen to be one of the expectant mothers, then you need to take a little pity on your body. How to increase vitality and energy for a woman? Get plenty of sleep, eat enough fruits and vegetables - and soon your hormonal levels will return to normal and your condition will improve.

The source of life energy is our species

The most important thing in your life is your roots. Never forget your parents and you will feel the energy begin to flow through you in a strong flow. Whatever we try to think, without parents, we are nothing.

As difficult as it may be, start taking the first steps to reconnect with them.

Even if they have made some mistakes, forgive them. They are people like everyone else, they tend to make mistakes just like everyone else.

Don’t demand anything from them, and don’t forget to be grateful to them for giving you life.

Your life will become more complete if you call them every day, come, and ask about their well-being. The main thing is to do everything sincerely, and not feignedly, because otherwise there will be little meaning.

Take care of their peace of mind, tell them everything honestly, but don’t burden them with your problems. You will always feel their support, in any situation, but since they experience all your problems as if they were their own, you should not abuse this.

If your parents are no longer alive, then remember the happy moments, why you love them and forgive both them and yourself. If you blame yourself every day for not paying enough attention to them, for not visiting them all the time, or for offending them with something in a conversation, then let it all go. You can't carry this load your whole life.

How you build your relationship with your parents will affect your relationship with your children. You will be the same source of energy for them, so think about what energy you can transfer to them?

Change yourself, change yourself internally, and you will notice how your life becomes happier and more successful. Use energetic practices that will help you, but do not think that they are a universal solution to all your problems.

Depression

With the onset of autumn, many begin to complain of decreased tone. I really want to crawl under the covers, pour myself a glass of tea and never leave the house. Very often we associate this condition with depression and go to psychologists to ask how to increase vital energy. Moreover, even experienced specialists sometimes follow patients’ lead and prescribe medications for depression. It's simply less energy-consuming than looking for the true cause of what is happening.

In fact, it does not occur as often as is commonly believed. An intelligent doctor will diagnose “depression” only if everything else has been refuted. Depression can also be diagnosed at home. To do this, you just need to remember an activity that you always liked. During the week, devote at least 1 hour a day to it. If you feel that it does not captivate you and only causes irritation, perhaps the mentioned disorder really exists. But in most cases, a person understands that what prevents him from enjoying life is the lack of opportunity to do what he loves. How to return vital energy? It's simple: you need to do what you love.

Stuck in the past

If only. It happens that a person often turns to the past, concentrates on various situations, and thinks about:

  • how could he have acted differently;
  • why did he say that;
  • I should have remained silent.

Thus the energy flows away. You can't live in the past. That’s why it’s the past, because it’s already passed. It's all over. You can sit, twist the same scenario, which cannot be changed, or you can let go, feel yourself here and now. Start creating your life in the moment, enjoying today.

Rule out the disease

Everything mentioned above should be taken into account when diseases are excluded. But they primarily cause a decline in vital energy. What to do if you don't feel well? It is acceptable to deal with such symptoms on your own for approximately 10-14 days. If weakness, drowsiness and apathy do not go away, then you need to go to a therapist. The specialist should give a referral for a detailed blood test, urine test, and offer to take an x-ray of the lungs.

Based on this, further examination is already prescribed. You will need consultations with specialists - a neurologist, endocrinologist, gynecologist, hematologist (doctor for blood diseases), immunologist (deals with problems with the immune system), psychiatrist (treats depression). By the way, any drug prescribed by a doctor can cause weakness and drowsiness during use. This should be discussed with your doctor.

Chronic fatigue syndrome

It was first described more than 30 years ago. But little has changed since then. Doctors still face this problem. The patient really suffers, but it is impossible to understand how to help him, because not a single study can determine the cause of the ailment. And the person gets out of bed even more broken than he was in the evening.

CFS is a source of constant controversy among doctors. Some believe that this is not a disease, but simply the state of an overtired person. Others, on the contrary, say that this condition is caused by the activity of viruses or fungi. Still others believe that the development of this deviation is based on a lack of vitamins and minerals in the body, which is formed as a result of excessively intense work. True, this does not help those who feel that they have little vital energy. What should such patients do? Try to radically change your lifestyle by changing your job to an easier one. Perhaps this is simply the body’s way of showing you that it’s time to slow down.

Vitality and physical health

All experiences are formed from grievances. At the same time, almost everything in a person changes: posture, voice, facial expressions and gestures. Each emotion causes different changes in the body and stimulates different muscle groups in different areas of the body.

The cause of various tumors, including malignant ones, are long and strong grievances that we could not overcome. Some people believe that cancer is always the cause of some kind of conflict that has been growing since childhood or adolescence.

The whole body seems to begin to speak about the tenacity of its owner: joints grow together and become inflamed, arms and legs move poorly, flexibility and mobility are lost.

Illness is a need to reconsider your behavior, your views and feelings. Every disease is trying to tell you something, and you need to be able to hear what your own body is telling you. They point out your shortcomings that need to be addressed. Restoring vital energy begins with forgiving grievances.

If you are faced with an offense, it is better to immediately express your opinion on this matter. This will help you avoid accumulating grievances, especially since sometimes what seems insignificant to us ultimately transforms into a strong grievance precisely because we did not solve the problem in time and overwrought ourselves more and more.

If a virus attacks

Remember yourself at a time when there are no signs of illness yet, but you feel that you simply cannot lift your head from the pillow. This condition is borderline. The body does not know whether to get sick or try to protect itself from the virus. At the same time, your throat may ache a little and your joints may ache. There are different ways to restore normal well-being, but very often the most radical ones are chosen. This category includes recommendations to take a steam bath or eat ice cream. From the shock you will either recover or become completely ill.

During this period, as during recovery, there is often a lack of vital energy. What to do? Doctors recommend increasing your intake of ascorbic acid. Whether it will be able to prevent the development of infection is still a question, but it will definitely provide a surge of energy. Dose - from 0.5 to 1 gram per day for a week. Then you need to take a week's break and you can repeat the course. By the way, regular aspirin relieves such weakness. You just need to take it after meals to avoid irritation of the gastric mucosa.

Chronic viral infection

Only some viruses, once they enter the body, immediately begin to multiply, which causes a response from the immune system. Other varieties may not be recognized by white blood cells as foreign. Iron deficiency

This is how one can characterize a common disease called anemia. In this case, the blood carries little oxygen, and as a result, the person feels tired and has no vital energy. The Ideal Trap: Your Best Self Is a Dangerous Illusion

“We must strive for the ideal, for the best version of ourselves,” my clients often repeat these phrases they heard in childhood. With their help, parents can force their child to redo homework or get a better grade at school. We must strive for perfection, for the version of some neighbor whose grass is greener and whose legs are longer.

This is a good option for childhood: you really need to somehow neuroticize children, so that they not only play and mess around, but also strive for something. But for an adult, an ideal can become—and often becomes—a psychological illusion, a trap that prevents a review of one’s priorities. The ideal trap is a big problem for many people, the core of a huge number of different neuroses.

The ideal in modern Western culture is a psychological illusion: it lies in the fact that it is necessary or even possible to achieve.

For example, in the topic of energy balance, the desire to find an endless source of strength and become Superman, who manages to do everything, will be illusory. But energy is not an infinite amount. Buddhists count inhalations and exhalations, chemists study antioxidants and telomerase length, psychologists look at satisfaction with oneself and life: we consider them to be a very accurate indicator.

A well-calibrated ideal, which you consciously and without self-deception chose, corrected by reality, ceases to be an ideal and turns into a plan - it often becomes the result of working with a psychologist. But the unattainable ideal looming before your eyes not only does not help you figure out what to do in life, but also does not make it clear what kind of person you are, what your energy balance is in principle at this stage of life, what you are capable of and what you are not ( or capable only in extreme conditions).

In other words: the ideal doesn't work.

You don't have to completely abandon an ideal; you can develop a respectful attitude toward it, give it a place of honor in the Pantheon of personal philosophies, and continue to motivate your children with it to try harder. But it’s better to choose realism for everyday use.

A realistic view of yourself implies a professional attitude towards your own needs and limitations: if you need to sleep 8 hours and no less, sleep. And people who sleep 6 are different people with their own problems.
