Many people try to correct their character flaws. But you need to work on becoming better than you are at the moment, and not on becoming different from what you are now. In other words, the task before us is not to get rid of our character flaws, but to accept and love them. We can only work with what we already have. Unfortunately, or fortunately, it is impossible to create yourself from scratch, redoing everything you don’t like. You can only smooth out the rough edges and develop talents and advantages. Some people think that they can become happier and more successful if they get rid of their shortcomings. Although the whole secret lies precisely in maintaining your character and learning to use these shortcomings to your advantage.

What are disadvantages? These are those formed personality traits that, for some reason, were not accepted by parents, friends, employees, or other people around them. But on the other hand, do you really live for them? If so, then, of course, you should get rid of everything that these people do not like. Well, if you have a different outlook on life, then remember that you are not a hundred dollars for everyone to like (and even not everyone likes them).

It is believed that shortcomings are those character traits that you need to get rid of in order to achieve perfection. But what is perfection? It is the highest degree of some skill, quality or ability. So is it possible to achieve perfection if you get rid of those features of your character that, according to others, are your shortcomings? Of course not. If you follow other people's lead, change your hairstyle, change your job, or do something you don't like, then as a result you will inevitably hate them and, of course, yourself.

What to write

Before filling out the box in which you need to indicate your shortcomings, think about your answer. Do not miss it under any circumstances, because ideal people do not exist. Conventionally, a person’s moral qualities can be divided into 3 categories: “necessary”, “possible”, “impossible”.

Moral qualities from the “necessary” category are the ability to act for the common good:

  • duty;
  • responsibility;

Qualities from the “possible” category are all those manifestations of personality that do not conflict with internal beliefs and principles:

  • honor;

  • conscience;

  • integrity is a personality quality that allows one to be guided by certain moral principles and not change them.

Social qualities of a person

A person cannot exist outside of society, as individuals are revealed in society by interacting with each other. A person influences society, and society influences a person - this process is always two-way. Each personality performs several social roles, and for each role there is its own set of qualities that reveal it. The positive qualities of a person help him to reveal his best side in society and bring harmony.

Social qualities of people:

  • self-awareness is an important ability that allows an individual to become aware of himself in the social system;
  • social identification - a person’s ability to self-identify with other people consciously or emotionally;
  • self-esteem - the ability to adequately evaluate oneself without exceeding or belittling one’s merits, is an important component of the self-concept;

The consequences are very sad: distrust of others, loneliness, loss of work, because few forgive lies. If a person constantly lies, over time he himself will become entangled in lies and will certainly be exposed.

Often, a liar simply does not want to, does not know how to perceive reality, and deliberately creates a distorted image of himself, events and facts among others in order to achieve a selfish goal and prevent the negative consequences of his deed.
