Mental level: its characteristics, features, mental connections

Mentality is what determines the way of thinking, the perception of the world, and combines the mental and spiritual.

Often, when something happens that goes beyond understanding, it is justified by mentality. We can talk about some traditions and holidays, as well as about the bloodiest massacres.

There is no need to look for logic in mentality. Mentality is beyond the bounds, something at the level of feelings and emotions, it simply exists. Also, mentality is not always characteristic of one person; often mentality or mentality is a concept that unites entire nations.

In psychology, mentality is a mirror of the human psyche: the categories with which he thinks, his way of life, interaction with the outside world. Actions, actions and habits determine a person’s mentality. If we give simple examples of mentality, we can recall the Russian tradition “Farewell to Winter.” Or Maslenitsa.

First, people bake pancakes, and then have fun festivities, ending with the ritual burning of a huge effigy of winter. And somewhere in Zimbabwe they had never heard of such a tradition, and they might have been shocked to learn about it.

Or, if we consider hospitality, you will probably offer your guests tea, coffee or something stronger. And in China they offer tea when they want to be alone and are tired of guests. This is a different mentality.

Characteristics of the mental plane

The mental level is literally the world of thoughts. Many occult teachings (such as New Age, Theosophy, Hermeticism) believe that this is a certain layer of the surrounding world created by ideas, thought processes and mental energy. And esotericists say that the mental dimension creates a thin shell of the human body, located in the middle of all other energy bodies.

It is also known that the mental level is a fictional copy of reality, projected by the senses through the prism of life experience, reason, and the moral attitudes of the individual.

Physical layer

This level is considered the most superficial in homeopathy, although even here there are very severe, sometimes deadly, pathologies.

The concept of physical health and bodily symptoms also have their own hierarchy. We list them in order of aggravation of the pathology - from the most superficial lesions to the deepest:

  • Skin, hair, nails
  • Muscles, bones, joints
  • Reproductive system
  • Kidneys, ureter, bladder
  • Airways, lungs
  • Liver, stomach, gallbladder, intestines
  • Endocrine system: pituitary gland, hypothalamus, thyroid gland, adrenal glands
  • Heart, blood vessels, blood, lymph, lymphatic vessels
  • Central and peripheral nervous system

The criterion of health at the physical level will be freedom from pain, a sufficient amount of energy for a full life.

What is the mental body

Charles Leadbeater, a writer, freemason and member of the Theosophical Society, called the fourth energy shell of the human body the mental plane. According to his theory, the projection of the mental shell onto the physical organism is the region of the spinal cord and brain.

Representatives of occult teachings believe that the assemblage point of each individual depends on the type of his perception of the world:

  • strategists - for them it is in the upper mental area;
  • for those who think logically and act actively - in the average;
  • those who are overcome by feelings, but follow the rules, are at the bottom.

Another separation option is suggested by Leadbeater. According to him, the mental body is formed by the following shells:

  • mental-etheric body;
  • astral;
  • casual;
  • bodhic;
  • atmanic.

A similar division is inherent in the mental level.

Balance of three levels

The harmony of will and mind and their balance is ensured by vital force - an amazing energy that permeates all three levels of our existence, which are inextricably and hierarchically connected with each other.

These are mental, emotional and physical levels . In health, the life force circulates freely and intelligently between them. During illness, clamps and blocks are formed along the path of its movement, and then the vital force produces the symptoms that we need to recover and restore balance.

Inhabitants of the mental

The mental plane, as well as the astral one, occupies all the space around us. In connection with this, any type of irritation, even occurring on other planes, is reflected on it. People perceive mental activity as a process of spontaneous thinking - in the form of any mental images (individual objects located in the mental plane, on which people do not have any influence).

Periodically, certain thought forms combine to form a so-called egregor. What is an egregor? It acts as an energy-informative consciousness created by a group of people, divided according to a specific criterion. So, many types of egregors are known:

  • religious (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and others);
  • egregors of nations (are demons of empires);
  • generic egregors;
  • professional and so on.

The mental level mainly consists of thought forms and egregors.

Why is all this needed?

Firstly, we can hold a limited number of thoughts and ideas in our heads. And if you try to perceive everything , you will lose the main thing.

Secondly, we will need to work with statements. The simpler the statements, the easier and faster it is to work with them. The faster we work with them, the more operations we can do per unit of time. The more operations there are, the better we understand the model built in our heads (the chain of key statements).

Are our illnesses related to thoughts?

Some psychologists believe that the emergence of all pathologies begins precisely at the mental level. They talk about the close connection between the physical world and the spiritual, the state of a person’s body and his thoughts.

Then it turns out that if you want to be healed of an illness, you must first establish the mental (mental) reason why it arose. Since the external symptoms of the disease are only a reflection of internal pathological processes. Accordingly, the patient must engage in self-analysis to identify and subsequently neutralize the spiritual cause of the disease.

It turns out that if a person independently creates a disease for himself, only he can eliminate it.

And the main mental provocateurs of pathologies include the following:

  • a person does not understand his life goals, does not know why he came into this world;
  • does not understand and/or does not comply with universal and natural laws;
  • he has aggressive, harmful feelings, thoughts or emotions in his subconscious.

Any disease, first of all, signals a disturbed harmony, balance in the Universe. It is a reflection of wrong human thoughts, intentions and behavior - that is, the entire worldview.

Literally all diseases protect us from our own harmful thought patterns and actions. And those who have an incorrect, unhealthy understanding of the world can be considered sick. Then healing will only require a revision and change in your outlook on life. Unfortunately, modern man is little concerned with such deep questions. And when sick, as a rule, he grabs traditional pills, looking for healing in them. In this case, only the symptoms are relieved, but there is no impact on the root cause.

Types of mentality

If you settle a group of people on a desert island: they will settle down, they will have their own rules and norms of interaction, values, views on certain events within their society and outside it.

Subsequent generations will adopt their worldview: this is how the mental connection between people of different times is historically formed.

There are different types of mentality :

  1. by the type of structure of society - people of the Middle Ages had a different worldview from modern residents;
  2. by race (Asians, Europeans);
  3. gender mentality (female, male) – women are more inclined to demonstrate their emotions, males are more likely to keep their experiences to themselves;
  4. age (children, teenagers, adults, old people) – childish infantility and old age wisdom;
  5. by religious beliefs (Buddhists and Catholics think differently);
  6. by level of intelligence: intelligentsia, peasants - if you look at them in a restaurant, you can see a significant difference in behavior at the table.

It cannot be argued that mentality is a phenomenon characterized by constancy. The historical change in mentality over time can be represented in the form of the game “Broken Telephone,” when people pass a word or gesture to each other in a chain.

At the same time, everyone brings something of their own, and the last participant demonstrates something completely different from what was originally asked. Therefore, the worldview of modern people is radically different from those who lived several centuries ago.

Mental connections - what are they?

Scientists have long been interested in mental (telepathic) communication between people. Various studies have been conducted on this topic. According to experiments that used fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging), the presence of mental connections in people was revealed.

From a scientific position, however, this sounds somewhat different than from the point of view of esotericists. Thus, scientists talk about the synchronization of both hemispheres of the brain if interacting people enjoy communication. Then the listener's brain activity exactly copies those areas of brain activity that are involved in the storyteller.

How are mental connections formed in people? Let's look at it from the perspective of esotericism. The strongest telepathic connection is considered to be the one that arose with close people (usually lovers or those who are in a sexual relationship). There are also connections between close friends and between mother and child.

It takes enough time for a mental connection to form and for people to spend time with each other. Then, according to mystics, the interpenetration of energetic subtle bodies into each other occurs. This process involves special connecting threads running through the chakras - the energy centers of the body.

What happens if people break up? Let’s say they had a strong quarrel, they moved far from each other in space, but continue to remain together mentally: they think about each other, memories are scrolling through their heads, joint photos and messages constantly catch their eye on the phone...

What happens then? In the four-dimensional dimension, an invisible thread (channel) is created between them, which influences the lives of both. And distance in this case plays almost no role. True, the saying “time heals” remains true - indeed, over time, energy channels weaken, they become thin and, as a result, are gradually completely destroyed.

And if you want to do this even earlier, you will need to get out of the mental plane in which you feel discomfort. This does not always happen on its own; sometimes additional efforts are required.

Reception. Simplification.

Simply put, throw away everything unnecessary. You can do it in two ways. The first is to break the sentence into several statements. The second is to make one statement out of a long sentence.

Examples:

Original proposal:

“It would be good to be able to notice situations in which you see things not as they are, but as you want to see.”

Result:

You have want .

Reality is replaced by what is desired .

You want to notice it.

One sentence was divided into 3 simple statements. Why 3? Because an attempt to make only one statement leads to the fact that the rest must be implied or conjectured. Implicit means not explicit. But with the implicit it is more difficult to work and it is easier to make mistakes.

Or another example:

“Julia Galef called motivation and the ability to see things as they really are the “scout mindset” and wrote a book about it, “The Scout Mindset.”

Simplified to:

Seeing reality is the intelligence of an intelligence officer .

Why is that? Because every narrative has a purpose. In this case, Julia in her book talks about certain thinking techniques. Do last names, book titles, dates have anything to do with how these techniques work? Obviously not. Therefore, we take out a saber and, with a dashing whistle, without regret, we cut it all off into the trash.

In conclusion

Let's summarize the topic:

  • mental level is the level of a person’s thoughts. It is also a special dimension along with the astral plane;
  • Esotericists believe that all diseases are created by our wrong thoughts. And changing thoughts can heal illnesses;
  • mental connections are established between loved ones, lovers and relatives. They can persist for a very long time, often requiring work to break them completely (there are special practices for breaking mental connections).

Finally, I offer a thematic video:

Panic disorder

  • How common: 30% of adults have experienced What Are Anxiety Disorders at least once in their lives? with symptoms of anxiety disorders, which include panic.

This is a condition in which a person experiences spontaneous panic attacks. They manifest themselves in different ways. A common symptom is Panic Disorder: When Fear Overwhelms, a strong feeling of fear comes on for no reason. Sometimes the chest or throat feels tight and it becomes difficult to breathe. During a panic attack, the heart beats faster, drops of sweat appear on the skin, dizziness, nausea and a desire to go to the toilet appear. A person may feel like he is about to die or completely lose control of himself.

Unlike healthy stress, a panic attack occurs without any external cause. After an attack, many people feel exhausted. A person begins to be haunted by the fear that he will again be covered by a wave of panic at the most inopportune moment. Therefore, people with this disorder often try to avoid places and situations that they feel may trigger an attack. Over time, this may result in a fear of leaving the house, so it is better to consult a specialist after the first panic attack.

Story

There is a cause-and-effect relationship between somatic diseases and the psychology of a particular person, but it is ambiguous, indirect and does not fit into elementary diagrams. Any practicing doctor is faced with various stories. One of them told the following story: “A certain woman was raised by religious parents in such a way that she treated sex as a terrible phenomenon that must be excluded from her thoughts at all costs. She came to me with a complaint about the excessive growth of hair on her stomach, chest and back, with a parallel decrease in the amount of hair on her head. She also had irregular and painful periods. When she got married, she began to suffer from severe headaches.

Here, the sexual instinct was suppressed at the mental level, which caused an imbalance of estrogen and testosterone. As a result, the hair on the body was distributed according to the male type. This oppression over time caused another symptom on the mental level - aversion to sex. The marriage created additional stress, causing changes in the physical and emotional spheres - excruciating headaches (replacing baldness) along with feelings of irritation in the marriage.

At first the defense mechanism was able to establish a balance, limiting symptoms to the endocrine system, but the added stress of the marriage disrupted it. So the defense mechanism had to recreate the symptoms on a deeper and more destructive level.”

The mental level of the woman in this case played an important role. As you can see, defensive tools always try to create a protective wall, which is embodied in symptoms and signs in the peripheral tier.
