All people have desires that they want to make come true. But there are people who are unreasonable in their implementation. Some people make the goal of their life desires that can be fulfilled this week. You need to make a list of goals and start implementing them today. Find examples of wishes below.

Holidays at sea

After a productive year of work, many people want to relax on the beach. The dream of white sand and clean water always lives in the human mind. If you want to relax at sea, then you don’t need to put off this dream for later. There are many ways to travel on a budget. There is no need to save money all year and then spend your savings in two weeks. You can go on a trip by car. Gather friends who, just like you, dream of relaxing. Ask your friends where they vacationed and what they saw on their travels. Choose the place you want to visit and get directions to it. This is easy to do using online maps. Load the selected route into your navigator and go on a journey.

You can relax at sea without a car. Buy a train or plane ticket, book a hotel and plan your vacation. Find out the tourist spots you want to visit in advance. You can book a guide while sitting at home who will take you on a tour of the city and its surroundings. If you want to save money, you can meet people from another city who will give you a tour for free. There are many options for budget tourism, so you shouldn’t think that only wealthy people can see the world.

Property

  • Buy your own 4-room apartment or build a house. The family should live in a normal house. A big family has a big house.
  • 3 apartments for rent. This is an option for a reliable minimum pension in old age. A kind of rentier.
  • Buy a house by the sea. I'm from Siberia. Everyone here yearns for the sea and plans to move to warmer climes in their old age. Do not be surprised.
  • Buy and master a musical instrument. I already wrote above about increasing serotonin.
  • Buy a car for yourself and your wife. The goal is optional. More likely for status and freedom of movement.
  • Make a real photo album with printed photographs. The goal is cheap to implement, but I’m sure it will bring a lot of joy. When you are old, you look at these photographs and recognize the places you have visited.
  • Create a family tree for your family. This can be ordered from special organizations. It will be interesting.
  • Earn enough capital for a long retirement. The point is to earn capital quickly and then do interesting things. Volunteering is also suitable.
  • Plant a beautiful garden with fruits and berries.
  • Again, avoid dumb goals. We are mortal. Read 1000 books. OK. This is an achievable goal within 20 years. But why? It will take a lot of time. The question is how much good will it be? Books should be read on demand when there is not enough information.

Some people say that there should be one purpose in life. This is pickiness about words. Yes, the purpose of life is in life itself, in obtaining pleasure. I recommend reading the article if you don’t understand why you should live. You can have fun in different ways. All that's left is to find your favorite ones.

Car

Have you heard the phrase from your friends: I want to buy a car? Many young people who have not yet saved up for their own vehicle have a similar desire. A similar dream lives in the hearts of people who love to travel. To buy a car, you don't have to save up for it all your life. You can choose a used car, for which you can get a loan from any bank. You need to fulfill your dreams, and not wait for the right opportunity. Does your salary not allow you to buy a car? Then you need to change your job. There is no need to expect that your salary will be raised in 10 years. If you understand that there is no career growth, change your place of work. Improve your skills and become a good specialist.

Do you often have the thought “I want to buy a car” in your head? Go to a car dealership and take a closer look at the cars. Until your dream takes a concrete form, it will not become a reality. You need to know exactly what kind of car you want to buy and how much it costs. Once you understand how much you need to save per month to achieve your dreams, you can start saving.

How to make a rough plan

It is convenient to draw up draft plans for the future in electronic format. It’s a hassle on paper; you’ll need to constantly edit the list of goals. I made over 50 edits to the last plan.

For clarity, we break down goals by , like in the wheel of life. We write down all the goals that come to mind for each source.

Use the templates:

Template with goals: open, , Google.docs, Evernote.

Life planning template: open, download, Google.docs, Evernote.

We take each source of goals, come up with and write goals based on it, without much analysis. First, let's just put everything together. There is a personal meaning to life - we wrote down goals to realize it. There is a purpose - they wrote it out. Old dreams are written out. We did the 100 desires exercise and wrote down the 10–15 most burning ones. We imagine ourselves in 10 years, where and with whom – we write it out.

We make a plan for the year - write down all the goals.

I draft it in a week. I spend three more weeks editing, agreeing on goals, and adjusting it to reality. I have all my goals and long-term plans written down in a notebook, more than 30 pages of different wants and dreams. I leaf through it and write down what I would like to implement now, repeat 4-5 times.

Within each sphere, create 3-4 goals. We leave only the most want-to-can-do, mentally imagine how you will fulfill the goal, if you don’t imagine it, cross it out.

I recommend creating a backup plan: moving there all the goals that do not fit into the annual plan. When you manage and have nothing to do, the goals are already ready.

If you are making a plan for the first time, it is better to plan simpler goals and 2-3 goals at a time. If you dream of running a marathon, set a goal of running 5 km to start. You will have time to complicate the goal. Initially, everyone overestimates their abilities. If after six months you close the plan, make a plan for the remaining year, with the joyful feeling that everything you planned has worked out.

Future plans should take into account your experience.

If you look at the draft and anxiety appears, “How will I manage to do all this?” – lighten it up so it’s rich but not overwhelming. The more experienced you are, the more you will plan your own way.

Apartment

Young people who live with their parents dream of owning their own home. Thanks to a mortgage, you can move into an apartment tomorrow. You can take a closer look at suitable options today. An apartment is an example of what many people want. If your friends managed to arrange their own housing, then you will succeed too. Don't think that people are just lucky. Apartments are bought by those people who are working to realize their desires. First of all, you need to find a job that can provide a normal standard of living. It is clear that if you earn 15 thousand rubles. per month, it’s stupid to think about a mortgage. Find a higher paying profession. Understand that nothing is impossible in this life. You can always get a second education or improve your skills in specialized courses. Don't be afraid to invest money in your development. If you don’t do this today, then your dreams of an apartment will remain dreams. Take action and you will succeed.

John Goddard's Life Success

Successful people claim that 50 human life goals is not the maximum. The longer your list of goals, the better you will be able to understand your true desires.

On a note

For example, John Goddard, at the age of fifteen, set himself not even 50 vital, main goals that he sought to achieve, but 127! For the uninitiated, information: we are talking about a researcher, anthropologist, traveler, holder of scientific degrees, Member of the Society of French Explorers, the Royal Geographical Society and the Archaeological Society, multiple record holder of the Guinness Book of Records.

On his half-century anniversary, John celebrated 100 of the 127 goals he had set. One can only envy his rich life.

Find the love of your life

What do a lot of single people dream about? The example of desire is quite trivial. People want to find their soulmate. Do you think this is difficult to do? Nothing like this. In the 21st century meeting your soulmate is much easier than before. You can start a relationship using the Internet. Find a cute person on a social network and write messages to her. Strike up a conversation and then ask the person out on a date. There is nothing reprehensible in such an act. Making acquaintances on the Internet is much easier than doing it on the street or in any entertainment establishment. On social networks you can find someone who has interests and life values similar to yours.

You can meet your soul mate in any club of similar interests. Do you like to dance? Sign up for courses. During your classes, be sure to meet a lovely person who will share your interests. You can make acquaintances in a more conservative way. Choose a nice person in a cafe who came to eat alone. Walk up to the person and get to know him. There's nothing wrong with that. Many people stay single because they are afraid of rejection. But if you don't try to get closer to people, you definitely won't be able to find your soulmate.

Charity is the most important human goal

Studying the path to success of John Rockefeller, everyone sees: he is a philanthropist. Donating a tenth of profits to charity is the main rule of his life. According to psychologists, helping people is useful and extremely pleasant. Therefore, in the “50 vital goals”, when compiling a list, you should include points relating to this aspect of life. By doing charity, a person enjoys receiving recognition.

Even doing good incognito, he is satisfied by seeing the fruits of his good deeds. Performing charitable acts should be on the list of vital goals. “50 charitable goals in life” in the general list may include the items “build a shelter for abandoned animals”, “open a kindergarten for disabled children”, “regularly provide financial assistance to an orphanage” and others.

Here you can also write smaller specific goals, for example, “donate 100 flannel diapers to the Baby House” or “bring your old neighbor a free weekly ration, supposedly from social security.” Having compiled a list of 50 life goals, a person receives a plan of action in life, sees what he needs to achieve, what to strive for.

Dream job

The cherished desire of many people is to find a job that will bring them pleasure. It's not that hard to do. Choose an area of activity that you like. Don't have the knowledge required by a specialist in your chosen field? Today there are many courses that offer a person to gain knowledge and experience in a short time. After short-term courses you will not become a good specialist, but you will receive basic knowledge, which you will subsequently expand. Get a job at a company as an assistant specialist. Don't chase a big salary. First you need to gain experience, and only then demand a good salary. There is no point in working solely for money. First of all, you need to develop the potential within you. This is much more important. If you enjoy your profession, you will be truly happy.

Develop abilities

What is your deepest wish? Many people dream of realizing their talent. But not everyone succeeds. Why? People are afraid to follow their dreams. Some people think that it is stupid to spend time on an activity, for example, music, if this activity does not generate income. Don't be afraid to do things that don't make you money. A person’s hobby is an outlet that helps relieve stress and recharge with energy. What abilities can you develop:

  • learn to play a musical instrument;
  • learn to dance;
  • take a makeup course;
  • master the art of hairdressing;
  • learn to draw;
  • learn to sing;
  • learn to sculpt;
  • take a nail art course;
  • learn to cut wood;
  • learn to mint;
  • master the art of stained glass;
  • master the art of pottery;
  • try yourself as a photographer;
  • try your hand at being a speaker.

Any desire can be fulfilled. And remember that you can always turn your hobby into your profession. But at the initial stage, you should not worry if your activity does not bring in money. You should develop your talents for fun. First you have to spend time and money on acquiring skills, only then can you expect dividends.

Immaterial fantasies

For example, we can highlight the following:

1. Family values. Whatever a person is, whatever moral qualities he has, everyone longs to be loved.

  • In this group, the desire to create a family with a loved one and a loving person comes first.
  • The desire to have a child. Many modern people want to have many children, but their financial situation does not allow them to do so.
  • Dreams that spouses have: to live in peace and harmony with their soulmate. Understanding and acceptance between parents and children. No matter how trivial it may sound, misunderstandings on the part of loved ones often bring pain and discord into our lives.

2. Health. Although for anyone who has any illness, dreams of health come first.

  • To recover from physical and mental illnesses, if any.
  • Lead a healthy lifestyle. Now there is active promotion of a healthy lifestyle, but not everyone who wants to find the strength to follow it.
  • Quit smoking and drinking.
  • Do yoga or martial arts. For some reason, we associate Eastern teachings with health.
  • Wake up at 5 am and run to the singing of forest birds.

3. Dreams about personal growth and development. Based on Maslow's pyramid of human needs, when a person has enough food and is safe, he cannot help but start thinking about self-development.

  • By analogy with the point about health, learn to dance, play tennis or ride a horse. But not to keep in shape, but for the soul. To be able to do something better than most.
  • Learn to drive a plane, helicopter, racing car or shuttle. Men especially often dream about this.
  • Learn several foreign languages. These can be popular languages, such as English or Chinese, or dead languages: Greek, Latin.
  • Learn to create things and art objects with your own hands: sew, weave lace, draw, sculpt from clay and plaster.
  • Compose brilliant music and poetry.
  • Write a book that will sell billions of copies.
  • Gain recognition in your chosen field. People with a creative streak can write poetry or draw, but if there is no recognition of their talents yet, you can always dream about it.
  • Education. Obtaining an interesting and profitable profession. A hobby that would generate income.
  • Have enough free time for self-realization and all of the above.

4. Unreal dreams. What are dreams without fantasies? This includes everything that is impossible to implement or incredibly difficult to implement in practice.

  • Become a king.
  • Colonize Mars.
  • Have a harem.
  • World peace.

Learn a foreign language

Today it is difficult to imagine the life of a person who does not know at least one foreign language. Many people dream of traveling, but when traveling you will have to communicate with the local population. So start learning a foreign language. The first step is to master international English. It is not difficult to save money for specialized courses. You just have to want and save a third of your salary every month. But before you do this, go to any language club and find out its prices. When you know how much tuition costs, it will be easier for you to save. Many language schools have a system of loans and deferred payments. Therefore, you can start classes today.

Don't have the desire or time to enroll in courses? You can learn a language while sitting at home. Thanks to free lessons and live communication with foreigners in chats and Skype, you can improve your speaking level well. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. No one will laugh at your attempts to become a better person. Don't stop there. Having learned one language, proceed to the second, and then to the third. Experts say that when you can master three languages, you will not have problems learning the fourth and fifth.

Goals to avoid shame and pain

A happy person is called accomplished and successful. No one will call a loser happy - success is a component of happiness. Almost everyone remembers Ostrovsky’s famous phrase from “How I Became Tempered” about how to live my life. The end of the quote is especially striking: “So that it doesn’t hurt excruciatingly...” So that at the end of your life you don’t feel pain and shame for wasted time, you need to set goals for yourself today.

To consider life successful, a person must achieve 50 of the most important life goals in old age. Summing up his life, a person compares what he dreamed of with what he achieved. But it happens that over the years it is difficult to remember many of your desires and goals, so it is difficult to make comparisons. This is why it is so important to write 50 most important goals in life on a piece of paper and periodically re-read the list.

Another important aspect is to try to write down SMART goals. This means that your goals must meet five important criteria: specific, measurable, relevant, achievable, and time-bound.

Small wishes

In addition to big goals, all people have small desires. In order not to forget about your “wants”, you can make a list of things that you will implement as soon as possible. You should always keep such a plan at hand and re-read it at least twice a week. If you realize that an opportunity has arisen to realize your dream, then immediately take action. Wish list to fulfill:

  • ride a camel;
  • swim with dolphins;
  • swim under a waterfall;
  • visit the desert;
  • jump with a parachute;
  • fly on an airplane;
  • visit the jungle;
  • cope along the river;
  • pet the tiger;
  • take a photo on an elephant;
  • spend the night on the beach;
  • meet the dawn;
  • spend the night in a tent;
  • fly on an airplane;
  • jump into the sea from a cliff;
  • live 3 days without a phone;
  • post one photo per week on Instagram;
  • save money for a bike.

Fifty goals in a person’s life MITRA Center for Psychology and Hypnosis

Motivation, planning, goal setting - these words have firmly entered the vocabulary of a modern person oriented to success.

It has long been no secret that planning the future helps you live the present, gives life shape and meaning, trains your will, and allows you to live the way you want, and not someone else.

To effectively plan your life, life coaches recommend setting not just one goal, but several specific goals, and the more, the better. It is very useful to have a long list of goals, grouped by deadlines, priorities and aspects of life.

The common idea of 50 vital goals for a person is a win-win for the following reasons: firstly, 50 goals are enough to cover a long period of time.

Secondly, fifty is not such a large number, so goals become accessible, realistic, and do not subjugate your entire life.

A list of, say, 300 goals would be more difficult to implement psychologically: such a number of goals would one day simply hang over the psyche as an unfulfilled burden. Fifty is quite possible to achieve, and even allocate a year of active life for each goal.

Here is an example of a list of goals divided into life areas.

Career and business

  2. Find a source of additional income
  3. Increase the number of customers by 50 percent.
  4. Delegate some powers to employees
  5. Take a refresher course in your field

Finance and well-being

  1. Double your annual income

Wishes for the year

A person must be aware of his life. This is the only way a person can understand that he is moving towards his goals. During the holidays, make a wish list for the year. Each person on a list like this will have personal goals. Think about what is important to you and how you would like to change your life. You don't have to write out the entire notebook. You can set yourself only 10 goals. Examples of wishes could be:

  • run a marathon;
  • carry out general cleaning in the apartment;
  • go to the bathhouse every week;
  • sign up for the pool;
  • run every day;
  • sign up for a gym;
  • learn English;
  • read 30 books;
  • learn to dance or write beautifully;
  • buy a car;
  • relax in Thailand;
  • visit the Hermitage;
  • go water skiing;
  • conquer Everest;
  • see Baikal;
  • move to a new apartment;
  • make renovations in the hall;
  • change plumbing;
  • update your wardrobe;
  • change image;
  • put a voice;
  • move to another city;
  • change jobs;
  • get rights;
  • buy a new phone or laptop;
  • have a party;
  • travel to another country;
  • start a holiday romance;
  • find true love;
  • rewatch all seasons of your favorite TV series;
  • reread your favorite book;
  • master meditation;
  • undergo surgery to improve vision;
  • go to a cosmetologist;
  • sign up for a solarium.

Intermediate goals

Achieving global goals requires actions to help move forward. Therefore, it is necessary to write intermediate goals related to advanced training, education, and acquisition of skills. And in the list of “50 human life goals,” examples of these could be:

  • read the collected works of Dostoevsky;
  • reading manuals for businessmen, authored by John Rockefeller (for example, “12 golden rules” for success;
  • studying the life stories and paths to success of major figures of science and culture;
  • studying of foreign language;
  • obtaining a second education.

This list can be continued at your own discretion, based on the main goals.

Get a tattoo

Today it is fashionable to decorate your body with beautiful designs. Do you want to get a tattoo? Making your wishes come true is very simple. You need to find or draw a beautiful sketch, and then sign up for a consultation at a tattoo parlor. You need to find a good master who will make a high-quality drawing and will not harm your health. Ask your friends who have already done tattoos where and how much they got their designs done. It is not difficult to make such a wish come true. But remember that such decoration will remain with you for life. Therefore, choose a drawing that will be relevant to you not only today, but will also remain symbolic in 10-20 years.

You can write a “bucket list” and include a tattoo on it. But remember that such a desire should not be realized immediately. The opinions of others on this matter should not bother you. But if you know your changeable nature, first start implementing other items on the list, and after a month or two, think again about a tattoo. If the desire to decorate your body remains, then you can safely make an appointment with a specialist.

Lifehacks for achieving goals

Over many years of practice in goal setting (or even, more importantly, goal achievement), I have empirically developed for myself several working life hacks that make it easier to achieve results.

Agile approach

I really like two principles from the Agile philosophy; they work great not only in software development, but also for personal projects:

  1. Bias for Action. If you're going to try something new, don't spend a lot of time researching the issue and preparing the "perfect plan." Instead, start with concrete actions that practically bring you closer to your final goal: start going to the gym, sign up for a programming course, meet the business owner and discuss your idea with him. It will be much easier to understand the nuances and draw up a sensible plan along the way than while theorizing on the couch.
  2. Minimum Viable Product (“minimum viable product”). Don’t try to do it perfectly right away - such a high bar is usually difficult to achieve, and you are guaranteed to “slip” trying to overcome it. It is better to approach the issue step by step - first implement the minimum acceptable solution (which, nevertheless, will at least somehow work), and then you can gradually improve it. This is much easier than trying to do it perfectly right away; Moreover, in the process of gradual improvement, it may turn out that the ideal is not needed - approaching it by 70–80% may well be sufficient (according to the Pareto principle).

Micro steps

This principle somewhat echoes the previous ones. To change your life, regularity and long-term orientation are much more important, and not some one-time super-efforts.

Usually people approach their goals in the opposite way: if they are going to take care of their health, then they must definitely start going to the gym so that they can work themselves out until they lose their human appearance and crawl out on all fours, vomiting in the corridor with all their strength.

Need I say that forcing yourself to regularly engage in such self-rape is somewhat, ahem, difficult?

It’s much more reasonable, in my opinion, to start small - even if it’s ridiculously small at first. For example, for a week you can at least just come to the gym regularly and not do anything terrible there, just walk on the treadmill.

As soon as you get used to the feeling, you can move on to the next stage - introduce some light exercises, and so on. In 10 years, it won’t matter to you at all: you started out hardcore, or got involved gradually over the course of a month.

The only thing that will matter is whether you quit or not. So, micro-steps help reduce the likelihood of premature quitting.

Furious attack method

I wrote above that in all controversial cases I try to give priority to the main goal of the year, and only then deal with goals from other areas of life.

Therefore, closer to the middle of the year, I sometimes notice that in some areas nothing interesting happens for months. In this case, I use the “violent attack method.”

It consists in the fact that I temporarily change my priorities, and for one week I put one of the secondary areas of this year at the forefront. And I try to do as much as possible in a week that will allow me to get things moving.

Usually, after such a concentrated push, it is much easier to continue by inertia, and the rest of the year doing something to achieve this goal in the background is no longer difficult.

Getting Things Done

For a long time I did not use any task managers, I wrote tasks for myself in a paper diary or in my Excel file, and considered David Allen’s famous Getting Things Done system to be confusing nonsense that only complicates life.

But recently the topic of GTD came up in a conversation with Grisha Mastrider, and it turned out that my approach to time and task management is actually quite close to this concept (if you remove all the old school Allen nonsense with dozens of paper folders).

So I switched to the Todoist app, made a few adjustments to my system in accordance with the precepts of GTD - and now I am quite pleased with the result. Using a special application to manage tasks turned out to be much more convenient.

Lose weight

Are you unhappy with your body? The situation urgently needs to change. You need to love your reflection in the mirror. If you realize that you have recently gained extra pounds, then now is the time to get rid of them. And the wish list will help you with this. Only those people who know exactly what they want will find opportunities and ways to realize their dreams. You need to set your goals correctly. Losing weight is an abstract desire. But losing 10 kg is already a real goal. You must be clear about all the changes you want to make to your body. For example, write a list of 100 wishes related to your transformation. Let's look at what you can write below:

  • lose weight by 10 kg;
  • pump up your butt;
  • pump up your abs;
  • do 50 push-ups daily;
  • pull up on the horizontal bar;
  • run 3 km every day;
  • drink 1.5 liters of water;
  • stretch for an hour a day;
  • sign up for group yoga classes;
  • exercise with a jump rope 10 minutes a day.

Write what is relevant to you now. You can write a list of 100 wishes, guided by this article, or come up with your own goals. Don't show your plans to anyone. Let them be a secret to others. The less you talk about your plans and desires, the more energy you have left to realize your goals. Start implementing your list today, don’t wait for a magical tomorrow. Remember, it will never come if you don't start working now.

What is the difference between a dream and a goal in life?

A dream is a romanticized and distant concept. A goal in life is a specific life goal that you strive for. The main difference is that a dream is when a person dreams about the future and does nothing to realize it. If you are actively trying to make your dream come true, that is already a goal.

Dream or goal?

Examples of dreams rather than goals:

  • become rich (how, when, how rich?);
  • achieve ideal physical shape (the ideal is different for everyone);
  • become an astronaut (1 in 10 people flies into space after serious preparation);
  • Travel all around the world;

Here are some goals in life:

  • become a volunteer in a public organization, help people or animals;
  • pick up a child from the orphanage and provide him with a happy life;
  • become a professional gymnast/gymnast;
  • sell your own creativity for $1 thousand;
  • visit 10-100 countries/cities of the world;

When you outline a clear action plan for yourself (when, how much, how), you take the first step towards your goal. This is called defining a goal in life.

How to write a wish list correctly?

You must set only true goals for yourself. Desires should not be imposed by advertising or friends. You need to understand exactly what you want and why you need it. There is no need to let others in on your secret dreams. The less you talk about your plans and desires, the more energy you have to realize your goals. Let people be amazed by your actions, not your ambitions. After all, many ill-wishers can clip your wings at the beginning of your journey. Well, if you did share your plans with good friends, then don’t fall flat on your face and achieve what you talked about. Start implementing your list today, don’t wait for a magical tomorrow. Remember, it will never come if you don’t start working now.
